Dixon I Want Cake

Little Dawson patiently waited for more than 15minutes before he got a chance to sink his teeth into a slice of the rich chocolate fudge cake we made. Coming from a 5-year old little man, his persistence taught me something - never to give up, keep going until I get what I set my heart on for. His constant "Dixon, I want cake", "Mommy, I want to eat cake", "I want cake", "Dixon, faster la. I want to eat cake" put a smile on my face. You learn a lot from people, especially little ones. I love watching their funny antics, I love listening to them speak, I love trying to answer their innocent questions, I love taking pictures of their candid expressions. Dawson's a cutie pie.

Anyways, after waiting for forever, he finally got a slice. And mind you, it was a HUGE slice! =D With the second bite, his mouth was covered with chocolate sauce. Boy was he a big eater! I guess the wait worked up a big appetite for him =D Ha. He was so fascinated with the sugar hearts and kept asking for more. By the time he finished the slice of cake, he was one full, contented little man. BURP.
